Conversion Window

A conversion window is the allowed elapsed time from a defined funnel entry to the required completion event. Specify the counting unit, ordered steps, timestamp policy, and whether the endpoint is included. A calendar reporting range and a conversion window answer different questions.

Under an inclusive 30-minute rule, entry at 10:00 and completion at 10:30 qualifies; 10:30:01 does not. If the same session enters again at 10:20, a completion at 10:40 qualifies under an any-entry rule but not a first-entry-only rule. Both are definable metrics; name the one computed.

A 23:50 entry needs observation through 00:20 the next day, plus an explicit delivery allowance. At midnight it is unfinished, not yet a known failure. Wait for cohort maturity or report incomplete cohorts separately; dropping only unfinished non-converters inflates the rate. Late arrival and clock error can require corrections, and an empty denominator has no defined conversion rate.
